About us

We are Cláudia and André, and together, we created Cozy Leaf for our son, Xavier.

Although much of our work is done together, Cláudia is the creative one and André is the dreamer and entrepreneur.

Cláudia has a degree in Biology and Fine Arts, and her background reflects the environment she grew up in, with artist parents in a small town surrounded by beautiful landscapes and plenty of nature. She left her hometown to study and gain experience and, almost 10 years later, returned to the place where she grew up. Here, she seeks to live a more fulfilling life while working on art and design projects that she is passionate about and that make her feel alive. The birth of Xavier made her feel more capable and more determined to pursue her dreams.

André is an entrepreneur. He studied marketing and has always dreamed of creating new things. From a young age, he has been passionate about the hometown of his parents (and Cláudia), despite not living there. When the opportunity arose, it was in this town surrounded by nature that he created a restaurant, to which he still dedicates himself with love. It was there that he met Cláudia, where they live with Xavier, and where they dream of making beautiful things happen.

Together, we believe in the beauty of simple things, enjoy appreciating and caring for nature, creating things with our hands, and finding ways to make life more beautiful, simple, and happy.

The cozy leaf

Cozy Leaf reflects who we are as individuals and as a family. We are inspired by nature and try to live simply and fully. Cozy Leaf emerged while preparing our home for our first child. We realized that there are many baby products and that almost all of them have a short usage time. Therefore, we wanted to simplify and be less consumerist, for the sake of our home, our minds, and the planet.

We selected items that were truly necessary and, whenever possible, multifunctional or whose purpose could evolve and serve another function. During this process, the idea for our nest and babylounger emerged. We were looking for a nest that would embrace the baby from birth and adapt to their growth. Additionally, it needed to be a place of interaction and comfort, respecting their safety and anatomy. It needed to be mobile and easy to transport and a beautiful piece for the home, to be part of the children's growth.

It evolves into a decorative and play pillow, enhancing children's connection to nature with its leaf shape. As part of the home, it also conveys to us, as adults, sensations and emotions linked to the natural world, such as the need to slow down and live each moment fully. Our other pieces follow the same line of thought. We strive to develop versatile, original pieces that aim to bring more connection to nature and the simple things in life.
